For Construction Professionals
Lead-Safety Consulting & Contractor Support
Eco-Ohio works with contractors, remodelers, property managers, investors, and construction companies who encounter lead-based paint requirements during a project. You keep your project moving. We help you navigate the lead-related requirements.
What Support Can Look Like
Support Built Around Your Project
Older buildings bring lead-related questions into otherwise straightforward jobs. Eco-Ohio can step in on that portion of the work.
- Helping contractors understand lead-related project requirements
- Project planning
- Lead-safe work practice guidance
- Documentation and paperwork assistance
- Project documentation organization
- Compliance preparation
- Work-scope development
- Coordination with lead risk assessors and inspectors
- Coordination of required testing and clearance
- Helping contractors establish lead-safe project procedures
- Subcontracting or partnering on lead-related portions of projects when appropriate
- Helping companies prepare for projects involving older housing
- Guidance on what documentation may be needed
- Helping contractors determine when a qualified or certified lead professional may need to be involved
Eco-Ohio does not provide certifications to other contractors and cannot enable an uncertified contractor to perform work that legally requires certification. We help contractors navigate lead-related requirements and can partner with or perform specialized lead-related work where legally permitted. Lead-related requirements can vary based on the property, project scope, applicable regulations, and whether children or other occupants are present.

Eco-Ohio Community Contractor Network
Local Work for Local Trades
Eco-Ohio's rehabilitation and property work creates jobs. The Community Contractor Network exists so local contractors and tradespeople can express interest in that work, and so property projects and qualified local professionals can find each other.
Joining the network does not mean Eco-Ohio has reviewed, approved, vetted, or verified any license, certification, or insurance, and it does not guarantee work or create a contract. Eco-Ohio cannot certify another contractor.
Prefer to talk it through first?
Send us the property details and the scope you're planning, and we'll walk through the lead-related side with you.
